The workshops take place at a beautiful rustic estate and nature campsite Quinta do Tapadinholocated on the outskirts of the old village, Vila Nova de Oliveirinha, a 10-minute walk away.
The estate is exclusive to workshop participants. Wifi is available all over the site. The special thing about this place is that you have beautiful views everywhere, of forests, mountains, rock formations and a wide valley. Here you will enjoy, in addition to the songs of the birds, peace, space and privacy but especially the tranquility.
You will stay in a tastefully furnished Canvascamp Sibley tent with a spacious living area in an environment with a view of the many olive trees, subtropical plants and a private pool. As one guest so beautifully described last year, "the tent embraces you".
The canvas camp Sibley tent is both waterproof and breathable and made of 100% cotton. The canvas is a soft, natural, earthy beige that lights up inside and out in artificial light and natural light. In addition to the traditional canvas door, the tent features a screen door with integrated mosquito netting. The tent features four windows and four vents with fine mesh to keep insects out while maintaining ventilation and airflow.
The sanitary facilities are new and spacious.
The campsite is located on the outskirts of the old village of Vila Nova de Oliveirinha, where the authentic character has been preserved and where you will be introduced to the Portuguese way of life. The village has a pharmacy, post office, small store for basic necessities, a café and a restaurant.
At the end of the village is an olive museum with a restaurant that has a magnificent view of the Serra da Estrela, Portugal's highest mountain peak. Further away is the ancient village of Bobadela with its unique Roman amphitheater. Supermarkets, restaurants and stores can be found in the town of Oliveira do Hospital, reached by local bus fifteen minutes away.
